The Notes booklet starter is a first booklet with nothing to adjust: sixteen A5 pages from four folded A4 sheets, a year at a glance, then ruled, dotted and grid notes pages. The pages are in booklet order for double-sided printing, with margins clear of a home printer's unprintable edge.
Notes pages can be blank, ruled, dotted or grid, and you can change them page by page: the writing style, its spacing and dot size, a heading, one writing area or several (two columns, stacked boxes or four boxes). The starter is the quickest start, and everything it sets can be changed.

How to make it
- In the Layout tab open Start from a look and choose 'Notes booklet, A5' (or 'half-letter' for US paper) from the Home booklets group
- In the Calendar tab, under Notes pages, add or remove pages, choose blank, ruled, dotted or grid for each, and arrange their order
- In the Print tab, under Booklet printing, check the sheet count and the edge to flip on, then export. Print double-sided at 100%, fold the sheets in half, nest them and staple the spine

How many pages is it?
The starter makes sixteen pages on four folded sheets. A folded sheet carries four pages, so any booklet is a whole number of sheets, and the Print tab reports the count for yours.
Can I change the paper style?
Yes. Each notes page is blank, ruled, dotted or grid, and you can set the line spacing and dot size, a heading, and a layout of one writing area or several.
