Top-Fold Notes Notebook

Notes

Make a wide notebook that flips open at the top. This starter has a monthly overview followed by eleven writing pages, alternating between ruled, dotted and grid paper. Twelve landscape A5 pages fit on three A4 sheets printed on both sides, so you can make a small notebook with ordinary printer paper.

Use the calendar as a reference for meetings or project dates, then give each notes page a job: a running list, sketches, calculations or meeting notes. You can change the paper style and heading on each page. The horizontal fold leaves the long top edge available for binding and keeps the side edges clear for writing.

How to make it

  1. Open the notebook in the maker and set the month and year for its calendar page.
  2. Select a notes page to change its title, lines, dots or grid. Choose a full page, columns or stacked writing panels in Layout.
  3. Arrange pages in the overview. Use Colours & type to try a different look without replacing your notes.
  4. Download the booklet PDF from Print. Print on A4 at 100%, using the duplex edge shown, then fold horizontally, nest the sheets and staple along the top fold.

Frequently asked questions

Can every notes page use the same paper style?

Yes. Select each notes page and choose ruled, dotted, grid or blank. You can also mix styles, adjust their spacing and give individual writing panels their own headings.

Will adding pages change the number of sheets?

Yes. Each folded sheet holds four finished pages. The app updates the booklet layout as the project changes, so check the total in Print before loading paper.

How is this different from the Notes booklet starter?

This notebook opens at the top and has landscape pages with a month overview. The Notes booklet opens at the side, uses portrait pages and starts with a year overview. Choose the format that suits how you write.
